Janet and her staff treat each framing project like the unique home furnishing it  is.  "We try to make the work stand out and not let the frame and the mat take your eye away from it.  I think that's why we've done very well with our clientele, because it's done in a way that people are not going to get tired of it.  It's pleasing to the eye and not overwhelming."

Another Hang Ups highlight is its mini-frames.  The staff creates high-quality mini-frames from the custom moulding lines.  Not only are the mini-frames beautiful, but they are affordable, too.  "They're excellent quality, but amazing prices," Janet says.  "These are a big hit.  We have people who come in and go right to the mini-frames to see our selection.  If we can make something fit within our existing mini-frames, then we will go that way."

In business since 1995, Hang Ups is located in a restored, historic home in the downtown core.  "I opened with Riverfest," Janet recalls.  "The first day I opened, I had a framing order."

The location provides a perfect fit for a specialty business like Hang Ups.  "I love being downtown," Janet smiles.  "I absolutely love this building.  I like the atmosphere.  It just suits this type of business."
